Commission Terms

By commissioning artwork from Margolis, you agree to these terms in full. Please read before purchasing.

1. Pricing & Payment

  • A full rendered commission is $100 USD, payable in full at the time of booking.
  • All prices are in US Dollars. International buyers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, or local taxes in their jurisdiction.
  • Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout based on the buyer’s billing address, as required by law.
  • Payment is accepted via Stripe (card) or PayPal (instant), or Zelle (manually verified). Work does not begin until payment has cleared.
  • Zelle payments are verified manually within 24 hours of receipt. The 10-day delivery timeline begins from the time of verification, not from the time the buyer initiated the Zelle transfer. Buyers must include the unique reference code provided at booking in the Zelle memo so payments can be matched to commissions. If a Zelle payment is not received within 72 hours of booking, the commission is automatically cancelled and the buyer must rebook.

2. Turnaround Time

Commissions are delivered within 10 days of payment confirmation. If unforeseen delays arise, the client will be notified in advance with a revised timeline.

3. Revisions

Included in the $100 price: one round of revisions at the sketch stage and one round of minor revisions at the final stage. Major changes after sketch approval (pose, composition, character swaps) are treated as a new commission.

4. Refund Policy

  • Before work begins: full refund on request.
  • After sketch has been sent: 50% refund available on cancellation.
  • Once final rendering has begun: no refund available.

5. Usage Rights

Upon payment and delivery, the client receives unlimited personal and commercial use rights to the finished artwork, including without limitation use in personal projects, social media, merchandise, advertising, product packaging, websites, and commercial distribution. The artist retains underlying copyright and reserves the right to display the work in portfolios, social media, and promotional contexts.

6. Content Policy

Margolis accepts commissions for a wide range of subjects. The artist will not accept commissions involving:

  • Explicit 18+ / NSFW content (mildly suggestive content is acceptable).
  • Illegal content of any kind.
  • Gore.
  • Furry / anthropomorphic animal characters.

The artist reserves the right to decline any commission at their discretion.

7. Commission Process

  1. Client fills out the commission form with references and a written description.
  2. Artist reviews and confirms acceptance.
  3. Client pays the full amount.
  4. Artist sends a sketch for approval (1 revision included).
  5. Final rendering begins after sketch approval.
  6. Final artwork delivered as a high-resolution file via email (1 minor revision included).

8. Client Responsibilities

Provide clear reference images and a detailed description. Respond to revision requests and proofs within 7 days. Non-response beyond 30 days is treated as project abandonment; work is archived and no refund is issued.

9. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution directly with the artist is a breach of these terms and may result in the commission being canceled without refund.
